Agreement ends Quincy teachers strike
A four day teachers strike in Quincy, MA ended after teachers and city officials reached a tentative contract agreement yesterday. The strike, which had been ruled illegal by Massachusetts' Labor Relations Commission, came after teachers and officials could agree over a proposed increase in the percentage teachers would pay toward their health premiums. The teachers agreed to pay the proposed 20% toward their premiums, but at a much more gradual increase from the current 10% than initially proposed.
