Air Canada, flight attendants deadlocked with strike looming
A strike by 10,000 flight attendants is looming in Canada as talks with the country’s largest airline stalled just before a Saturday deadline. The union has rejected binding arbitration, demanding higher wages and compensation for unpaid work, while pushing back against government intervention. Hundreds of flights have already been canceled, raising fears of major disruption to summer travel and damage to Canada’s tourism sector. While passengers faced delays, many said they supported the attendants and blamed the airline for the breakdown in talks.
