Air France Pilots Agree to Talks with Management as Strike Drags
The union SNPL, which represents the majority of pilots employed with Air France, has agreed to continue talks with management but does not plant to end the strike at this time. This strike, which began on September 15th, is the longest one since 1971 and is costing the airline 20 million euros a day. A smaller union involved, SPAF, has given the airline 24 hours to respond to its demands for pay assurance and solidified contracts.
