Airbus head warns of job cuts
Louis Gallois, the newly anointed chief executive of Airbus, the European plane maker, warned Tuesday that job cuts would be unavoidable as it wrestled with a reorganization aimed at streamlining management and ramping up productivity. Gallois added that the planned job cuts would most likely be aimed at administrative and management positions, rather than at engineers and assembly line workers.
