Airbus meets unions over job cuts
European plane manufacturer Airbus is sitting down with union leaders to discuss the firm's plans to cut costs and redundancy through workforce reduction. Airbus' proposal to cut 10,000 jobs, primarily in Germany and France, has led unions in those countries to hold a number of strikes in protest. The company is expected to announce further details of the plan on Wednesday.
