Airline unions are hoping to use the recent increase in staffing in the airline industry as leverage to win back wages and benefits lost over six years of battling management in bankruptcy court. Labor experts predict that the losses the unions sustained then give them more strength now, as the airlines themselves are left with little room to bargain.
