AK Steel Sued for Alleged Racial Tensions
The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has filed a lawsuit against AK Steel Corp. for condoning a racially hostile environment. The suit was filed after several black employees complained about racist language, swastikas, nooses and Ku Klux Klan videos in various work areas. AK Steel has refused to comment on the charges and could face penalties up to $300,000.
