Alitalia Flight Attendants Continue Strike
Fears have risen that air traffic could grind to a halt in Italy as flight attendants at national carrier Alitalia entered their second day of a strike. Italian media reported that Italian airports were unusually empty on the first day of the strike Tuesday, with travelers scared off by the possibility of disruptions. Sult, which represents the flight attendents, and Alitalia have been locked in a dispute over recognizing the union, which has called a series of strikes over contracts.
