All States Still Show Wage Gap for Women ? Study
A report from the Institute for Women's Policy Research found that while all states had narrowed the wage gap between men and women, no state had completely eliminated it. Nationwide, median wages for women in 2002 were 76.2 percent of men's wages. However some groups, such as the National Center for Policy Analysis, say that the wage gap is due to labor market preferences of women rather then discrimination.
