Amazon announced that they will be having their third annual Amazon Career Day on September 15th. The company is looking to hire for more than 40,000 corporate and tech roles and thousands of other operational roles. At last year's event they received nearly 450,000 applications which they hope to surpass this year. Attendance is free and attendees will receive one on one career coaching as well as be able to join other workshops and speaker series. Amazon's vice president of workforce development says that he hopes the event will empower people to “make that next step in their career.”
