Amazon.com warehouse workers fired if goals aren't met
Warehouse workers for online retailer Amazon say that the company's focus on quickly shipping products can lead to punishment for failing to meet a quota. In order to keep their jobs, workers have to stay constantly mobile, sometimes in bad working conditions. Amazon says that their conditions are better than most in the industry, including accident rates. However, workers from Pennsylvania have filed a lawsuit against one warehouse for dangerous working conditions, and other workers say they have experienced similar problems. Amazon says that they are trying to improve efficiency, as well as better service for their customers.
