Amazon hiring 7,000 workers
Amazon announced Monday that it will be adding 5,000 full-time jobs to its network of fulfillment centers and warehouses spread across locations in 13 states. The company said that the positions will include stock grants and will pay 30% more than the average retail wage. With two day shipping already available to Amazon shoppers, the company envisions that staffing increases at its fulfillment centers could make same day delivery possible for some items. Amazon says it will also add an additional 2,000 full-time and part-time employees to its customer service department.
