Amazon removes a policy on employees making games after work hours
Amazon has withdrawn a set of guidelines for employees of Amazon Game Studios that some game developers described as “draconian.” Over the last month, Amazon has fielded criticism on social media after a Google engineer posted about these guidelines that claimed ownership of video games made by employees after work hours. This old policy gave intellectual property rights of any games developed by its employees, even after work hours, to Amazon. Amazon said Thursday they will be immediately eliminating these rules.
