Amazon ridiculed for corporate greed on Easter Sunday
On Easter Sunday, Amazon tried to motivate workers with a raffle but received very public backlash. Workers arriving at the warehouse on Easter Sunday were greeted with a message from management letting them know that there would be a holiday incentive for those who worked that day. The message claimed that workers who picked over a 310 rate would be entered into a raffle to win a goodie bag. The goodie bag in question, was “water or soda plus a candy bar or a bag of chips, worth roughly $2.” Amazon has since faced ridicule from Senator Bernie Sanders, employees, and even other businesses for their corporate greed.
