Amazon settles with two workers who say they were illegally fired
Amazon has settled with two activist workers who were fired from the company. The former employees stated that Amazon would be paying their back wages and posting a notice to all its workers nationwide that Amazon can't fire workers for organizing and exercising their rights. An Amazon spokesperson said, “we have reached a mutual agreement that resolves the legal issues in this case and welcome the resolution of this matter.” The NLRB hearing was scheduled to start Tuesday morning to determine if Amazon had violated the NLRA but was delayed as the parties worked on a settlement.
