America?s Top Companies For Compensation And Benefits
Glassdoor.com has released the findings from its latest survey of the website?s 23 million users regarding their satisfaction with their compensation and benefits. From the survey, the 300 companies with the best compensation and benefits were ranked. The top 25 were all ranked with an average score of at least 3.9 out of 5. Costco at number 2, Chevron at number 6, HMO Kaiser Permanente at number 12, and Pfizer at number 20 were non-tech companies who made the top 25. However it appeared that the top slots were mostly dominated by the likes of Google at number 1, Facebook at number 3, and others. Although further research needs to be done, it appears that much of what contributed to companies receiving higher scores was the fringe benefits (free meals at work, paid maternity/paternity leave, etc.) and paying above the median for the industry.
