AMR Unions Urge Early-Exit Incentives to Temper 13,000 Job Cuts
Unions that represent American Airlines' employees are asking the company to offer incentives for those who will leave voluntarily. The current plan for the airline, whose parent company declared bankruptcy last month is to cut 13,000 jobs. The cuts are part of a restructuring plan and effort to cut costs that the airline says is necessary.
