A federal bankruptcy judge has denied American Airline's request to throw out the collective bargaining agreement with the airline's pilots. The judge said that the airline did not prove that their reorganization depended on changing provisions in the pilots' agreement. The airline says that the changes the judge referenced have already been changed and that they will submit a new proposal by Friday. Contract talks between the pilots and the airline have been ongoing since 2006. The judge has not ruled on the contract for flight attendants, who will finish voting on a final contract proposal on August 19. The airline filed for bankruptcy in November.
