An optimistic job signal?
The Labor Department released figures yesterday showing the lowest number of new unemployment benefit claims since Jan. 13, 2001. Many economists believe there are growing signs of an employment and economic turnaround. The National Association of Manufacturers released the most optimistic manufacturing hiring survey seen in a long time, as 55 percent of small to large manufacturers expect to increase hiring this year.
