Anglo Platinum Workers Protest Over Missing Miners
The National Union of Mineworkers in South Africa marched in protest of missing workers at Anglo Platinum Ltd. today. Anglo, the largest metal producer in the world, is facing sharp criticism from up to 17,000 employee protesters who want the firm to conduct an investigation into two workers' disappearances. The union and workers are hopeful that remains of the two workers can be returned to their families, though the company maintains that they couldn't find anything underground initially and no new information has been presented.
