Anti-union bills pass despite worker protest
In Idaho, bills that would limit project labor agreements and job targeting programs on construction projects passed through the committee stage and were sent to the House for a vote. Unions protested the two bills, and said that they will not address the problems that lawmakers think that they will. Legislators are also considering changes to education policy that would include pay-for-performance and changes to teacher tenure. Those legislators said that they would also changes rules for funding of union positions, saying that the union should pay all of the costs for positions that help train teachers and administrators.
