AP Polls: Nations Value Immigrant Workers
Associated Press polls, conducted by Ipsos an international polling firm, found that in the United States and in the European countries polled people were more likely to say they had negative views of the influence of immigrants. Much of this was attributed to concerns over unemployment and terrorism. However, many of the world's leading industrial nations also felt that immigrants mostly take jobs that citizens of their own countries do not want.
