A report released by Apple details plans to hire 7,400 more workers at its Cupertino, California headquarters over the next three years. The company currently employs 16,000 employees in the Cupertino area and 73,000 employees across the globe. The new hires are to accompany a 3.4 million square-foot new office complex. Although some investors fret that Apple has run out of creative steam, the prospective 50 percent increase in the Cupertino workforce suggests that the company has ambitious plans for future products.
