Arbitrator Slams Delta, Pilots, Tells Them to Work Out a Pact
After nine days of hearings, arbitration panel chairman Richard Bloch took both Delta Airlines and the pilots union to task in their current labor dispute. The pilots have threatened to strike if Delta's recent bankruptcy declaration allows the airline to void the pilots' contract. The panel of arbitrators ordered both sides to begin negotiating a deal which would avoid an imposed ruling from the panel.
