As energy prices rise, some remote workers have begun to seek alternate work locations than their own homes
One of the most appealing perks of remote work options for many workers was the comfort of being able to work in their own space and set it up as they liked. However, with the rising costs of energy amidst persistently high inflation, it has become much more costly for people to heat their homes. Subsequently, the cost-of-living crisis has caused an increase in remote workers seeking alternate work locations, like public places, in order to save money on their energy bills. An issue with this trend though is that remote work depends on strong connectivity which is more unreliable on public domains.
