As nickel industry expands in Indonesia given the push toward EVs, workers file human rights violation complaints
At a nickel industrial center in Indonesia, Chinese workers have recently filed complaints to the human rights commission regarding poor conditions. These workers state that they have experienced psychical and psychological damages as a result of the work conditions on the site. The nickel industry has recently expanded in Indonesia given the push toward electric vehicles, but there have been various issues within the industry as riots broke out last month.
