ASSOCIATION OF FLIGHT ATTENDANTS: Union sends strike ballots to 21,000 United attendants
The Association of Flight Attendants union sent strike ballots to 21,000 United Airlines flight attendants, seeking their approval for nationwide walkouts if United or US Airways breaks its labor contracts in bankruptcy. United wants lower-paying labor contracts in place by mid-January. The union says it intends to carry out work stoppages on flights without advance notice if the contracts are terminated.
