At Fight for $15 convention, a call from Clinton but little talk of union
The ?Fight for $15? convention held this weekend in Detroit highlighted the struggles of fast food workers seeking higher wages. It also showcased the growing pains of a young movement seeking to create a formalized national union for fast food workers, an idea which has taken root in other countries, but which has not yet matured in the United States. Hillary Clinton, who will begin her official campaign run for the presidency on June 13, spoke to the convention?s attendees of her support for the right to unionize for a higher wage.
