At least 13 injured in explosion at US Steel Clairton Works

Three workers were taken to the burn unit, and a hospital spokesman says that one is in critical condition. A workers says that all of the ovens used for making coke were shut down after the explosion, and it is unknown what caused the explosion. US Steel has committed $1 billion to improving the environment at the plant after being fined in 2006. One contractor was killed in 2009. The plant has around 1,000 employees.
