AT&T workers end their strike in California and Nevada
After reaching a deal, AT&T's landline technicians in Nevada and California ended their 24 hour strike yesterday. The dispute began after AT&T instructed technicians who usually work on the company's U-Verse TV line to begin performing functions related to landline technicians. The announcement prompted over 17,000 landline technicians to walk off the job on Wednesday. The landline workers are represented by the Communications Workers of America and have been working under an expired contract since last April.
