Australian Border Force Staff to Strike at International Airports on 9 November
In Australia, employees of border security at every international airport in the country have coordinated a strike that will begin on November 9th and last for 24 hours. The workers are in dispute with the government over a new pay increase agreement that they say takes away some of their rights and reduces take-home pay. As many as 90,000 people travel through the airports within Australia on a daily basis. The workers previously went on strike for several hours back in September.
