Auto Work Force Gets Dividend From Industry?s Rebound
Ford and General Motors will be announcing profit-sharing checks for their hourly workers this month which could prove the largest in the last ten years. The payouts are the latest result of the US auto industry's recovery, thanks to the federal bailouts several automakers received in 2009. But challenges still face the industry as it moves towards another set of contract negotiations this summer.
