B.C. Teachers? Strike: Other Unions Throw Support Behind BCTF
Many schools still remain closed as the B.C. Teachers strike continues in Canada. This Wednesday teachers will vote on the unions proposed plan to end the strike and reopen schools. Even though the province has a surplus of $266 million, that money will not be used to end the strike. Many teachers who participated in the walk-off now face financial debt, but they claim the strike isn?t about the money but rather moral principles.
