BA cabin crew to take part in new strike ballot
British Airlines cabin crew will vote on their fourth strike ballot in 2 years. The workers voted last month in favor of more work stoppages, but in the face of BA legal challenges to the vote, the union that represents the cabin crew, Unite, says that it will hold a new vote. While the dispute between the airline and union began over cost-cutting measures, the focus is now on the company's actions during the strike, which includes removing travel perks and disciplining employees who took part in the strike. Unite says that the airline needs to start negotiating if they want the strikes to end. BA says that any strike will not disrupt the airline, and that only a few BA workers want the dispute to continue. The vote will start on March 1 and end on March 28.
