Bailout foes plan day of protest
The New York City Central Labor Council organized a protest for Thursday afternoon in opposition to the Bush Administration's bailout plan. The demonstration, which occurred on Wall Street, is just one of many planned and abruptly organized protests in reaction to the proposed legislation. Participants include labor unions, grassroots advocacy groups, and reform coalitions, all demanding that the plan account for the interests of workers and businesses not on the "Street".
