BBC has reported in the past that there have been poor accommodations provided for workers contracted to build the 2022 FIFA World Cup stadium. Reporters from media companies have been arrested as they try to expose more about the working conditions these Qatar contractors are subject to. The reporters equipment was seized when they were arrested.
