Bell Helicopter and Union suspend talks
Amidst an on-going strike at Fort Worth, Bell Helicopter and the United Auto Workers (UAW) Local 218 suspended talks Monday morning after another fruitless negotiation. Bell claims to be committed to reaching a solution, while the UAW says that company told negotiators it had no more to offer them. The UAW says that they need more to 'protect their families and their future quality of life.' Both sides currently seem to remain firm and resolute, in what could turn out to be a long and important process between employers and employees. The negotiations, which Bell spokespersons said failed to make any progress, have been suspended without a new meeting date scheduled, and the strike continues indefinitely.
