BellSouth Workers Ratify New Contracts
Workers at BellSouth Corp., represented by the Communications Workers of America, have ratified six new contracts covering 42,360 employees in the Southeast. The agreements call for wage increases and protect health care benefits for active union members and retirees. The union had authorized a strike if a contract agreement had not been decided upon.
