Better.com’s CEO has returned to work after a hiatus. Back in December the CEO, Vishal Garg, fired over 900 employees by video chat, accused them of stealing from the company by being unproductive, and warned remaining employees that their productivity would be watched. Following apologies made by Garg himself and the company's board of directors, Garg took time away from his CEO position. The company's board of directors recently sent a letter to better.com employees saying that Garg would be returning to his position after reflecting on his leadership style and receiving executive coaching during his time off.
