Black employees give Walmart negative reviews in a recent internal survey
A recent internal survey conducted at Walmart revealed that Black supervisors, senior managers, and directors would not recommend joining the company to others. The survey came as part of Walmart’s vocal commitment to diversity and inclusion, following the murder of George Floyd, and was distributed by an employee-led shared value network. In the survey, some employees noted barriers to career advancement and unequal access to opportunities as the reason they would not recommend Walmart to other people of color. Walmart says this survey is early research and they will continue to look at their own systems and processes for improvement.
