Last year, rules were drafted to protect contractors from unsafe working conditions yet these will not be be implemented for several months. These contractors are migrant workers employed by Qatar to build the 2022 FIFA World Cup Stadium. The FIFA president issued a statement saying that more improvements must be made for these workers.
