BMW to cut 5,600 more jobs in 2008
German auto manufacturer BMW will cut 5,600 jobs in 2008, bringing the total number of positions eliminated as part of a company-wide cost cutting program to 8,100. The first cuts were announced in December, as part of a plan to increase rate of return in the face of economic changes like the falling value of the American dollar.
