Boathouse Restaurant Workers Walk Off Job
More than 40 disgruntled employees of the Boathouse restaurant in Central Park walked out during lunchtime yesterday in what the restaurant's lawyer describes as "yet another vindictive tactic" by the union. The union claims that employees are not treated with respect. They have filed more than 20 charges of unfair labor practice with the NLRB, and the board is investigating the firings of 15 workers.
