Boeing Labor Dispute Attracts Arrows From Republicans
The National Labor Relations Board lawsuit against Boeing has come under fire from leading Republicans across the country as a Congressional committee heads to South Carolina for a hearing on alleged labor law violations by the aerospace giant. Republican presidential candidates have all come out against the suit, with Tim Pawlenty deriding the NLRB action as an "outrageous outreach by the federal government" and others questioning the lawsuit's legality. Meanwhile International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers union leader Tom Wroblewski criticized Republicans for highjacking the issue for political gain. The NLRB hearing is expected to continue for several weeks.
