Boeing recommends union workers to vote in favor of newest proposed contract
Boeing’s most recent offer to unionized employees proposes a wage increase of 38 percent over the next four years, as well as ratification bonuses and an annual bonus schedule. The previous proposal did not include the annual bonus schedule and offered salary increases of 35 percent. Unionized employees are represented by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Union, and the union recommends that workers vote in favor of the proposed contract. Employees will vote on the offer on Monday, and if a majority of workers vote in favor of the offer, workers will begin returning to work after being on strike for over seven weeks. The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Union did not endorse the previous proposal, and 64 percent of workers voted to reject the proposal.
