Bonus Pay on Wall Street Is Likely to Fall, a Report Says
This year, employees within the financial industry are reportedly going to see a 5 to 10 percent decrease in bonuses they receive. This will actually be the first year since 2011 that compensation within this industry will fall. While compensation for employees that focus on mergers and acquisitions as well as private equity is expected to remain steady, the overall industry pay has fallen 30% since 2009. Even with this drop, the average bonus within the securities industry was $172,860 in 2014.
