Boomers lead new-firm wave
Millions of Baby Boomers are leading the way in the entrepreneurial trend. According to a recent survey by AARP, 40 percent of all people in business for themselves in the U.S. are older than 50. Many of these older workers prefer not to start from scratch, so they are getting involved with franchising and consulting. Those who choose to franchise find a support network from other franchise owners, and consulting allows a newly self-employed worker to use their own built-in talents.
