Boycott Threats Fly in Union Rights Fight
Businesses in states like Ohio and Wisconsin where workers' rights have been limited by laws are feeling pressure to state their position on the laws. While some businesses say that they do not support the law because it effects many of their customers, others do not see why their opinion on the law should influence their customers. While the AFL-CIO says that it has no official boycotts in Wisconsin or Ohio, opponents of the bills are taking matters into their own hands, and not supporting businesses that support the law. Lists of businesses that do or do not support the laws can be found online.
