Brazil Bank Employees to go on Strike after Shunning Pay Rise Plan
Workers at Brazil?s commercial banks demanded higher wages, but after a counteroffer made by the banks fell short, workers voted to go on strike. The strike, which is scheduled to being September 30th, will not end until worker demands are satisfied. The union demanded a 5.4 percent pay increase but the banks only offered a 0.61 percent increase.
