Britain?s Unemployment Rate at 6-Year Low of 6 Percent, While Wage Growth Outstrips Inflation
In October, the unemployment rate in Britain fell to 6 percent; the lowest number seen since 2008. The quarterly report showed that only 1.96 million people are currently unemployed. Pay increases are also exceeding inflation. Pay was up 1.4 percent over the last three months, while inflation only increased by 1 percent.
